Shasta Hickman completed her studies in Psychology Pre-Counseling from Corban University in 2016 with the intention of pursuing a graduate degree in Counseling. While taking a semester off, she found Concordia University Irvine's online Counseling program. The program offered a combination of evidence-based practices and a Christian worldview, which is exactly what she wanted.
It is my desire to help individuals, children, and families who are hurting, feeling stuck, or experiencing grief or loss. I want to partner with you to find the healing and wholeness you desire as you move forward in life. Counseling is a personal experience which feels safe while intentionally addressing the reason for the visit. I will use therapeutic approaches that include Attachment Theory and Emotionally-Focused Therapy to help you get the root of things.
My prior experience includes working with women, children, and families in preschool, elementary school, and in a church setting. I am passionate about working with those who suffer from Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Relational Issues, and Grief & Loss.
