Ministry Experience

My years of serving professionally in ministry include youth pastoring for 2 years and being a middle school Bible teacher for 7 years. I have a passion for discipling and counseling youth and women and for evangelizing the lost. My experience also includes working professionally for Prairie Bible College, Multnomah University, Hosanna Christian School and Stafford Christian Academy.

Counseling Approach

My goal is to create a safe space for my clients to feel loved, heard, and encouraged. I base everything I do on my understanding of the inerrant and inspired Word of God, and guidance by the Holy Spirit. My heart is to help my client experience Jesus, The Son of God, and the love and healing He has to offer.

I will take my client through lies they believe about themselves and replace it with the truth in how God sees them. I will help them discover the root from which their symptoms (i.e. anger, depression, anxiety, etc.) originate, and allow Jesus to speak His truth and healing into those areas. Jesus said, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." He is the Truth and the One that comes to give life and to give it abundantly!

Personal Life

I am the proud wife of Brad Peterson, founder of ANLCC. We met at Multnomah Biblical Seminary while we were both in the Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministries program. We married in 2001, after I completed my degree and Brad was still finishing his. We immediately started our family while Brad pursued his second master's degree, in counseling, and I focused on our three children, all of whom are now young adults.

Over the course of our marriage, we have enjoyed doing ministry together, as well as raising our amazing kids, traveling, and enjoying times together at home with our 2 miniature labradoodles and, most recently, our first cat.
