I have a heart for working with individuals who are bearing the weight of loneliness, shame, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, feeling disconnected from others and lacking a sense of belonging. I want to offer a safe environment for my clients to process as they see fit, their experiences with religious and spiritual conflicts, identity issues stemming from their cultural backgrounds, broken or failing communication patterns, family and relationship conflicts, illness and end of life processes, and trauma.  

Approach & Philosophy

I think it is important to view the person in the whole context from which they live and operate, and, therefore, I seek to incorporate biopsychospiritual elements into how we view life’s challenges and hardships.  As an evangelical Christian myself, I welcome the opportunity to explore matters of faith and its related components in our sessions. Having personally experienced the therapeutic qualities of art and creative design, I am always looking for unique ways to engage with my clients to help further understand the self, your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. I am also open to utilizing play therapy techniques within my practice, particularly for clients under 18. 

Education, Background, and Training

I have a B.A. in Psychology through George Fox University and am currently seeking to obtain my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Furthermore, my experience as a Third Culture Kid (TCK) has provided me with greater respect and compassion for those who may be conflicted regarding their identity, purpose, and sense of belonging within two or more cultures. While healing and growth is certainly a lifelong process, I hope we can begin this journey step by step together.
