Faith Perspective

My faith and relationship with Jesus is central to everything I am and do. I have personally experienced the healing and guiding power of Jesus throughout my life and relationships. That healing, guidance and perfect peace is available to every person.

Counseling Experience and Training

As a pastor, I have over two decades of counseling experience to serve needs of children, individuals, couples and families, both within and outside the church. Some topics include marriage, adoption, divorce, child abuse, addictions and spiritual formation.

I currently serve at a local primary school as a paraeducator IIIA/with a focus on behavior. My past experience attending nursing school and working in an emergency room have added valuable practical insight to dealing with people in crisis. As an adjunct faculty at George Fox University, I have had the opportunity to teach spiritual formation classes.

In addition to the excellent counseling education provided within my Master of Arts and Doctorate programs, I received the following training in Critical Incident Stress Management.

Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), International Critical Incident Stress Foundation

Critical Incident Stress Management for Traumatized Children, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation
